  • WCDS November Half-Day Meeting 2023

    Fri, Nov 10, 2023 | 11:30 AM - Fri, Nov 10, 2023 | 5:30 PM
CBCT and 3D imaging in general have changed the practice of dentistry for the better. This presentation will address the core principles necessary to evaluate CBCT scans, as well as how to incorporate the technology into dental practices. It will provide a better understanding of the anatomies and common pathologies seen in CBCT images and how they can be evaluated to predict surgical complications or complexities. This presentation is specifically geared towards practitioners placing dental implants who are interested in using CBCT scans to treatment plan in order to avoid predictable pit falls and to predictably achieve better functional or esthetic outcomes. Specific attention will be placed on the maxillary sinuses, important in sinus elevation procedures and the mandibular canals to avoid post-surgery neuropathies.
  • WCDS September Meeting 2023

    Tue, Sep 26, 2023 | 6:00 PM - Tue, Sep 26, 2023 | 9:00 PM
Founded in 2007 by Dr. David Clark in Tacoma Washington, Bioclear designs and produces innovative clear anatomical matrices which support the Bioclear composite placement technique. This technique has been so successful it is currently being taught full curriculum by four Universities: U of Alberta, U of Montreal and Roseman in Utah just graduated their first class in 2018 that learned this technique exclusively. Loma Linda has just committed to converting as well. The Bioclear Method is a systematic set of modern engineering techniques which utilizes warm injection molded composite to restore teeth. Mr. Ravat will speak on the science behind the method, touching on topics including; biofilm removal, the class II prep design, heated injection molding, and the infinity edge. Following this, ideally, we will begin a hands-on portion where members can do for themselves a Class II, Class III and a black triangle closure using anatomical matrices and the Bioclear composite placement technique.
